Yeongdo Huinnyeoul Cultural Village and Beach

Yeongdo Huinnyeoul Cultural Village

After lunch, it’s time to go sightseeing. In general, it would be nice if there were a lot of things to see near Busan Station, where the trip starts, but unfortunately, there isn’t much to see near Busan Station. So, I recommend going to Yeongdo, Busan, as your first destination. This is an island in the old town of Busan, and although it is small, it has several unique tourist points, making it a recently trending place.

If you are curious about how to get from Seoul to Busan, click this article.

Getting to Huinnyeoul Village from Busan Station is simple. Take city bus number 508 from the bus stop in front of the Busan Station you went to earlier, drive for 20 minutes, and get off at the Huinnyeoul Village stop.
When you arrive at the village, you can see the unique village scenery atop the steep wall of the Jeolyeong Coastal Trail. Small houses are crowded together inside a narrow alley along the sea at the end of a coastal cliff. It is the place where the sad lives of refugees began and is now the location of Huinnyeoul Cultural Village, a cultural village community with residents.

Marine Adventure Park

If you don’t want to just take pictures and look around, there are other options. There is a Marine Adventure Park. It is a maritime leisure center that offers a variety of water activities. Let us feel the sea of Busan with our entire body through marine activity experiences that will arouse all five senses.

If you want speed, use a jet boat. As soon as it leaves the dock, the 12-person jet boat sprints over the sea at 70 kilometers per hour. Oryukdo Island, the Busan Port Bridge, and the Maritime Museum, which were visible in the distance, appear and disappear before your eyes. This is a great option if you want to enjoy Busan’s fantastic beach scenery at an exhilarating pace.

A landscape where the sky meets the sea—The Sky Observatory

You will arrive at a special observatory after walking for around 10 to 15 minutes along the wooden deck walkway from Huinnyeoul Culture Village, observing the seascape. This is the Yeongdo Sky Observatory. It’s a skywalk with a glimpse of the sea beneath the glass floor, adding to the excitement. The area near Namhang Bridge and Songdo Beach can be seen through the observatory’s telescope.

The charm of this location does not end there. You can take the stairs next to the Sky Observatory and follow the forest route to the seaside with the emerald sea. As summer comes, more travelers might imagine enjoying a holiday by taking a plunge in the refreshing sea. It can be described as the standard Yeongdo travel course’ that allows you to completely enjoy summer.

Taejongdae

Taejongdae is the final course on the trip. Today’s aim is to capture the best photo of your life in Taejongdae! It is a representative destination in Busan, attracting tourists all year due to its deep forest and magnificent coastal landscape, but there are hidden spots for life-changing photos that even Busan residents are unaware of.

The first point is the lighthouse. The lighthouse is placed on a steep rock, and the turquoise sea creates an unusual environment. If you go in the afternoon, when the sky is at its bluest, you can take a photo that will make Santorini jealous. The second point is an observatory near the lighthouse. The building is fashioned like a spherical spaceship and provides a panoramic view of the sea.

There is also a café where you can rest and enjoy tea. The first floor is less congested than the second and third floors, making it a great place to photograph. The table built on the railing is in an excellent location. Don’t miss the Viewpoint, which you can view as you go down the seaside road from the Observatory.

The last point is the hill that overlooks Taewon Gravel Yard. Instead of going down the stairs to Taewon Gravel Yard, take a short stroll to the right forest trail, where you will find an open space with a view of the sea. Taewon Gravel Yard and the sea off Busan, where oceangoing ships are stationed, stretch out beneath your feet. If you go around sunset, you can get more dramatic shots.
